Friday - October 16th, 2026 - "Imitate Christ"

1 Corinthians 11:1 – Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

Paul is not merely telling them to copy what he does. He is telling them to watch how he lives, his character, how he handles situations, and how he seeks God. At the core of this is the idea of a spiritual father (or mother). It is finding a mentor in your life that you watch and learn how to live a life in Christ. This person will never be perfect in all of their ways, but it will be someone who has a genuine heart to pursue God. We all need mentors in our lives, someone we can learn from, and we are all called to be this for someone else. Live a life where others can “imitate” you and surround yourself with those you can imitate. Seek God in community.
