Tuesday, Oct. 20th - "Taste & See"

Psalm 34:8 - Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!

The word "taste" here simply translates "to know by experience". You can see a cake and think "that looks delicious", but you won't know it by experience until you take a bite.

In the same way, many know the concept of the goodness of God and the truth that He is good, but never "taste", or experience, the goodness of God.

Why? we simply refuse to taste and see!

Experience God's character and promises by trusting Him. Don't live by a concept, live by actually doing something. Run to God in joy, in trial, and in prayer. Talk to Him, seek His will. When we take refuge in God it is an intentional dwelling of our lives surrendered to His ways.

Today, surrender to the presence of God and "taste and see" that the Lord is good.
